Baking Definitions and Terminology

If I told you that I was going to bake a  batard, dock my pie crust, or said  “Get your peels ready for the loaves.”  Would you know what I meant? Probably not.  It was even hard for me to write the above sentence hoping it really does make sense now knowing the definitions and terminologies of those words.

Sometimes when we read cook books, especially if they are written from another part of the world, they could use words and terminologies which we are not familiar with in our home country.
